Llusern was delighted to be asked to contribute to a report by ITV News reporter Stacey Foster on chronic UTIs.
Stacey’s report highlighted the problems with the process of diagnosing UTIs which, if left untreated or misdiagnosed can leave patients in recurring pain.
“At the moment we are using inaccurate dipstick tests, inaccurate diagnostics culture tests which in some cases leads to some patients being told there’s nothing wrong.” – Dr Anderson, GP.
We can change the way people are diagnosed, reduce the incidences of chronic UTIs and reduce the antibiotic burden.
